DriVe2X Talks: Arturo Anedo

Watch the latest DriVe2X Talk focusing on ANA's experiment in expanding V2X technogies' accessibility.

In this latest episode of the “DriVe2X Talks” video series, Artur Anedo, Head of Innovation Project Management Office at ANA, delves into the contributions and ambitions of ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal within the DriVe2X project.

As part of DriVe2X, a pilot initiative has been launched, aimed at integrating electric vehicle (EV) services into the airport’s digital passenger experience while exploring the future potential of vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technologies. The pilot focuses on creating a seamless customer journey by incorporating EV-related services into the airport’s existing booking ecosystem, which already allows passengers to reserve parking, fast-track security access, and lounge services through a single e-commerce platform.

“The most important aspect of this pilot is ensuring that the booking experience for these new services is fully integrated into the overall airport experience. Passengers should be able to easily understand the service and its benefits and access it through a simple and intuitive interface.” says Artur.

Indeed, beyond the technical aspects, the pilot is designed to understand better passenger perceptions and behaviour related to EV energy-sharing services.

“Our biggest objective is to understand the human side of the project. We want to evaluate passenger interest, assess how effectively we communicate the service, and identify any concerns travellers may have about making their EV available to support grid management.”

The findings from the pilot will help inform future investment decisions and determine the long-term viability of expanding these services within the airport environment and the wider DriVe2X initiative.
