DORTMUND UNIVERSITY

R&I on Electric Mobility

The ie3 of the TU Dortmund University is one of the leading German higher education institutes in the field of energy systems, energy efficiency and the energy industry. The institute’s research and studies solve problems for a technically viable and sustainable electricity system of the future. As part of the ie3, the Smart Grid Technology Lab (SGTL) is equipped with advanced laboratory infrastructure, enabling testing and validation of smart grid applications. Within the scope of DriVe2X, the ie3 will investigate the effects of V2X on the energy system, focusing on the interactions between supra-regional and local flexibility markets. Furthermore, the SGTL will develop charging models of commercial EVs and perform HiL simulations for the Budapest demo site.
