FUTURE ISLE OF WIGHT
Isle of Wight demo
Future Isle of Wight CIC lead on the Isle of Wight demonstrator, working closely with NTU. We are exploring the impacts and opportunities of bi-directional charging in the tourism accommodation and V2G sectors. We will be exploring attitudes towards Time of Use tariffs and how bi-directional charging is effective in reducing running costs and specifically costs of hot water, which are highest in the peak holiday season. We are working with Visit Isle of Wight, the local tourist board, to use a mix of tourism accommodation properties as test environments. We are working with DNO to model how bi-directional, V2G, charging can help in a grid constrained setting.
